Day 1: Transfer to Semuliki via Fort Portal

Pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe (early morning)
Scenic drive through tea plantations and rolling hills of Fort Portal (approx. 6–7 hours)
Stop for lunch in Fort Portal town
Afternoon arrival and check-in at lodge near the park
Evening relaxation or optional nature walk
Overnight: Lodge near Semuliki (e.g., Ntoroko Game Lodge, Semuliki Safari Lodge)
Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Explore Semuliki National Park

Early breakfast, then head into Semuliki’s lowland rainforest
Guided nature walk to the Sempaya Hot Springs
See the male (Bubbling Hot Spring) and female (steam geyser)
Local legends, egg-boiling experience, and cultural stories
Game viewing en route: spot forest elephants, baboons, and monkeys
Afternoon: Optional visit to a Batwa (pygmy) community
Learn about traditional forest survival, hunting tools, music, and dances
Overnight: Same lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Birding Safari or Boat Ride – Return to Kampala

Optional morning birding (Semuliki is one of the best birding spots in East Africa with over 440 bird species)
Target species: Shoebill, Congo Serpent Eagle, Nkulengu Rail, Blue-billed Malimbe, White-crested Hornbill
Alternatively, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Albert (from Ntoroko) for scenic views and water birds
Begin drive back to Kampala/Entebbe in the afternoon
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
